Hi, it’s Dr. Wollach here from Phoenixville Dental. I’m not sure about all of you, but I have definitely started to notice a Covid baby boom trend happening. In my building alone, there are at least five pregnant women, my wife being one of them, so I wanted to go over some concerns some pregnant women might have regarding their oral and dental health.
Some pregnant women might experience some gum sensitivity, and they might be more prone to more cavities. The good news is most dental procedures done are very safe, especially during the second trimester of pregnancy. On top of that, a lot of insurances end up covering a third cleaning during that pregnancy.

My recommendation would be to not postpone any emergency dental care, especially because it can affect the developing baby. As always, if you have any questions or concerns feel free to call us at Phoenixville Dental.
